Choosing My Preaching Bible part 8 – my choice and recommendations

This is part 8, the finale, of me choosing my preaching Bible. In this one, I show my thought process of all the different options based on how the Bible will be used, what I chose and why, and my recommendations for each of the options and other translations. I cover how the Bible will be used including preaching only, study, marking, carry, all-purpose, and combo editions.

I chose a Bible that had the paper, print, and tools I can use for preaching. Now, I want to color-code it with preaching in mind using the concepts in my book, Easy Bible Marking Guide.

This process also gave me several ideas for Bible designs that I will pitch to publishers or take to Kickstarter.

One of the Bible’s I do wish was developed is a teacher’s bible. I think David Cook’s Sunday school bible is okay, but would prefer they publish the Nkjv with a wider margin with references. Is there a bible you would recommend that would help the Sunday school teacher?
    Thank you

Great question! I’ll go back through them and see. What features do you feel are the most important?

After a little more than a year is the Thomas Nelson Preaching Bible still your preferred bible to preach from?

Hi Justin. It’s still my favorite. I’m currently planning a follow-up to show pros and cons and newer alternatives.
