Miklal Software Solutions The Comprehensive Biblical Hebrew and Aramaic Glossary for nook and Kindle contains both Hebrew and Aramaic dictionaries from Humphrey H. Hardy II.

The format of the dictionary is superb. It is easy to navigate and text looks beautiful. Every Hebrew and Aramaic word that appears in the Bible is there. Definitions are taken from The Brown-Driver-Briggs Hebrew and Aramaic Lexicon of the Old Testament, The Hebrew and Aramaic Lexicon of the Old Testament by Ludwig Koehler and Walter Baumgartner, The Dictionary of Classical Hebrew, and more in order to present the best possible scholarship.

Since a dictionary is not read linearly, MSS has gone to extremes to make navigation easy. There are several navigation options.

The first is a table of contents with hyperlinks to each letter in the Hebrew and Aramaic alphabets. Selecting the letter provides the next level of screens, which provides two letters, narrowing down your choices.

The second navigation method allows you to scroll through the letter you want to search in transliteration. This gives you a list of two-letter combinations to narrow down your search.

The third navigation option allows you to move the slider in order to navigate to a particular location. These letters are also transliterated.

The fourth method allows you to search for the transliterated word. Simply type ‘h’, a space, and the word in Hebrew and ‘a’, space, and the word for Aramaic. There is a table provided that shows the transliterated letters.

MSS has developed one of the most useful navigation systems I’ve seen. The navigation features make the dictionary a very usable study tool for the study of Biblical Hebrew and Aramaic.

Miklal Software Solutions has done an excellent job in developing The Comprehensive Biblical Hebrew and Aramaic Glossary by Humphrey H. Hardy II. With easy to use but still advanced navigation, this dictionary is a very useful study tool. I recommend The Comprehensive Biblical Hebrew and Aramaic Glossary by Humphrey H. Hardy II for nook even if you don’t have an e-reader, because it works great on the nook and Kindle apps. For the price, it’s a must-own app for Bible study.
