Affiliate Spotlight: ChristianBook.com

We chose Christianbook.com for the second of our affiliate spotlights. I’m sure most of our readers are familiar with (and maybe already shop at) Christian Book.

This post contains affiliate links (obviously, but we have to follow the rules). Use of these links means a small portion of your purchase price comes to Bible Buying Guide to help us stay running (without raising your cost).

Christian Book has been in business for over 40 years. It started as 2 brothers (then 19 and 14 years old) selling a small selection of titles at discounted prices to pastors and Bible school students from their parents home. It has grown to the largest catalog/Internet company serving the Christian marketplace and it currently has over 500 employees. The younger of the two brothers and his mother are still involved in the company. Their Christian attitude is reflected in the way they conduct business, the relationships they foster with employees and others in the industry, and the charitable causes they support both locally and globally. You can read more about Christian Book’s policies and history here.

Christian Book is a great place to purchase Bibles, books, gifts, church supplies, homeschooling supplies, and more. It’s one of the first places I’ve looked for items my local Bible bookstores didn’t carry over the years, especially when homeschooling. With many of us losing our local Bible stores it has become even more important to have a Christian centered online source.

You can easily request a catalog, order over the phone 1-800-247-4784 (978-977-5000 if you aren’t in the USA or Canada) as well as online, and send gift cards by email or standard mail.

Christian Book works to maintain a strong community. They have a blog, prayer wall, and several fairly active social media accounts. The Homeschool Compass website (that they help run) answers questions about homeschooling. Their Author Profiles page features several writers and they frequently add more, like the currently featured Ruth Chou Simons.

With over 300,000 products it’s easy for Christian Book to always be running a sale or two. Sales that are running this weekend include:

We will probably have a post like this once every 3 to 6 weeks. Money made through our affiliate links makes it possible for us to keep Bible Buying Guide running. We are hoping to make more money here so we can devote more of our time and resources to Bible Buying Guide. That will mean more reviews, more articles besides reviews, and hopefully a better experience on our site as a whole. Our goal is to do that while helping our readers find businesses and products they will be interested in and without overrunning them with ads.

Lucinda Brown

Homemaker, Pastor's Wife, and former homeschooler (my kids graduated). I love to read (especially God's Word) but am a reluctant writer.
