Bible Deals September 28, 2019

Here is a list of some of the Bible Deals we found for this weekend.

We are affiliates of many (but not all) of the stores listed and this post does contain affiliate links. The use of these links does not change your price but does mean we get a small portion of the sale to support Bible Buying Guide.

Christian Book

Christian Book is running a Slightly Imperfect Sale. If your books tend to show shelf wear quickly or you don’t mind a ding or crumpled page their Slightly Imperfects are a great way to get books for a deep discount. We’ve purchased books this way in the past and it is usually minor damage (we even got one we couldn’t figure out where the damage was). Several children’s Bibles are included like the Purple Butterfly NIV Glitter Bible for $4.99 and the KJV Journal the Word Bible with Green Floral Cloth Cover for $15.99. This sale runs until September 30th.

You might want to check out their Fall Festival Sale. This sale features a wide selection of Pastor Gifts which would be good for Pastor Appreciation Day. A selection of communion supplies as well as fall-themed bulletins, outreach tracts, and gifts and projects for children’s Sunday School are also on sale.

Pastor Appreciation Sales

I was hoping to find a few more Bible sales since October is Pastor Appreciation Month (and we love Bible sales any time of the year). But I did find a couple of Pastor themed sales.

Both Tyndale and NavPress are running a Pastor’s resources sale. Both feature a selection of 20 different books. Tyndale’s sale is through September 29th so you’ll want to hurry and check it out. Navpress’s sale runs through October 13th and has a few items over 50% off.

I admit to being surprised when Amazon came up in my Pastor Appreciation Sale internet search. They aren’t actually running a special sale but the link lead me to several Pastor themed gift items. A few of these are best avoided unless they specifically match your pastor’s likes and sense of humor but there is a wide variety so you are likely to find something appropriate.

Other Sales

Humble Lamb’s Kickstarter for the KJV Lion Bible started yesterday and was fully funded in 6 hours but you still have time to join. You have through Sunday night (maybe early Monday depending on your time zone) to order one of these beautiful goatskin Bibles for $99. After that, the price will rise to $119 per Bible for the remainder of the Kickstarter campaign with the projected price when the Bible releases next spring being $169 each.

Dayspring doesn’t have a regular sale going but their Annual Christmas preview did start just a week or so ago. To encourage early orders they are offering free US shipping with the code MERRY and the code works sitewide not just on Christmas items.

Barnes & Noble is currently running a small Bible sale. They have a dozen bibles 30% off including the Teen Life Application Study Bible I recently reviewed (review here).

Next week’s post will feature all the new monthly sales (like Logos and Answers in Genesis).

We welcome your feedback. If you ever want to recommend any item included in a sale we highlight or know of any other good sales on Bibles or related materials please share in the comments.
