Bible Deals November 1, 2019

Here is a list of some of the Bible Deals we found for this weekend November 1st through 3rd.

We are affiliates of many (but not all) of the stores listed and this post does contain affiliate links. The use of these links does not change your price but does mean we get a small portion of the sale to support Bible Buying Guide.

Christian Book

As usual, Christian Book has several sales running this weekend.

They have a small selection of good deals almost every weekend in their Fab Friday Sale. (Everything in it is on sale from Friday through Monday, not just one day). One of the deals in the Bible section this weekend is the NIV First-Century Study Bible (Randy’s review here) for $18.99.

Also running this weekend is the Get Christmas Ready Sale. A wide selection of gifts, books, music and of course Bibles are on sale. The hardcover KJV Thompson Chain-Reference Bible (Randy’s review of the imitation leather one here) is currently $22.99 and the ESV 2-Column Journaling Bible in brown cowhide is currently $36.99.

If you are looking for something special to decorate with this Thanksgiving check out their Gifts for a Blessed Thanksgiving Sale.

Answers in Genesis

Answers in Genesis has its November Deals available. This month they have Christmas cards on sale along with a selection of books and DVDs that defend the reliability of the Bible. It’s a more technical book than some AiG sell but Replacing Darwin has a lot of good information. The book, DVD, and combo set of it are all included in this month’s sale. If you are looking for a more beginner level defense I highly recommend any (or all) of the New Answers series of books. You can get the 4 volume set for $42.99 in print or $27.99 for the ebook bundle. The individual books are on sale for $11.99 each in print or $9.99 each in ebook format.

The October Deals are also still on sale through the end of November.

Logos

The beginning of a new month means new deals at Logos.

The free book of the month for November (and it’s related discount books) comes from the New International Greek Testament Commentary Series (NIGTC). The commentary on The Gospel of Mark is the free book. The commentary on The Epistles to Colossians and Philemon is available for $4.99 and the commentary on The First Epistle to the Corinthians is on sale for $9.99.  While you’re there be sure to scroll down on the page and enter Logos’s monthly giveaway for a 10 volume Socio-Rhetorical Commentary Series set.

The monthly sales page has new deals. There are many commentaries, books, and a few courses for up to 45% off. The 3 volume Ancient Christian Devotion Series for $37.49 looks interesting to us.

Logos has declared November Black Friday Month, saying they have too many deals for one day. It looks like there will be a new batch of sales each week as part of this promotion. The first week’s deals feature Mobile Ed courses at various levels of discount. Discount levels include at least 25% off, 66% off, 76% off, and 90% off. The three most heavily discounted courses are NT391 Hospitality in the New Testament for $19.99, NT301 The Gospels as Ancient Biography for $14.99, and PD101 Our Identity in Christ for $7.99

Don’t forget that you can use our partner coupon code, BibleGuide8,  to get 25% off any Mobile Ed course that is not on sale. (Code good until December 31st)

If your price isn’t exactly the same as what I’ve given (especially on collections) it might be because you already own books from that set. Logos subtracts the price of any item you already own automatically. I’m getting the prices from a computer not logged in to Logos so the price I quote should be the highest any item could be.

Dayspring

Dayspring is also starting their Black Friday deals early. All through the month of November, they’ll be having the occasional Flash Sale, weekend sales, and some items marked down for the entire month (or while supplies last.)

This weekend they have Christmas gift wrap marked down, Studio 71 calendars, journals, and gifts on sale (if you use coupon code STUDIO71), and a discount on personalization for select boxed card sets.

The month-long sales include lots of great gift ideas and decorative items. I’ll be going through the Book & Journal page and the Perpetual Calendar page to see if there is anything I want to pick up for a gift this year.

Dayspring has also started taking orders for their two new Advent devotionals that release in about a week. We got to see an advance copy of Shanna Noel’s The Wonder of Christmas Advent Journal for Girls at CPE this year and I loved it. I don’t know as much about Advent: The Story of Christmas by Sherri Gragg but I’ve been looking for a Christmas devotional to work through this year and I’m definitely considering this one as well.

Other Sales

The Schuyler Personal Size Quentel ESVs, in four different covers, are still on sale for preorder at Evangelical Bible. These Bibles are expected to arrive sometime in the last half of this month.

Book-A-Million has a 15% off online purchases of $25 or more coupon code this weekend. The code, GIVING, works on most purchases including giving you an additional discount on sale items.

If someone you shop for (including yourself) always wants books you might want to occasionally check out Biblio’s sale page for deals. As a marketplace for smaller booksellers, it doesn’t update on a regular schedule but there is also no telling what you mind find on sale.

We welcome your feedback. If you ever want to recommend any item included in a sale we highlight or know of any other good sales on Bibles or related materials please share in the comments. Also, if there is a particular Bible you’d like to find on sale share that in the comments as well. I can’t guarantee I’ll find a deal (or that I won’t miss a deal) but I’ll be sure to highlight that Bible in a future post if I do find it on sale.
