Answering questions I’ve received at the BBG website, on social media, and here at the BBG YouTube channel.

Steven asked:

“May I ask you whether you would recommend the Nelson, the Holman or another KJV Study Bible?”

In this comparison, we’ll take a look at the Holman and Thomas Nelson Full Color Study Bibles to help you decided if either of them will work for you.

Thanks for the question, Steven (and sorry for taking so long to answer).

Thomas Nelson and Holman provided these Bibles free for review. I was not required to give a positive review. My opinions are my own.

Thank you for providing a great review on both bibles. I really appreciate your help in this area. Both look wonderfully made and I agree, both are a hard choice between the two. Nelson is coming out with the NKJV in color before Christmas. That’s going to be a hard decision.

Thanks Prentiss! I’ll have to look for that one.

    Good morning Randy,
I hope you can read my comments, but is there a book on unfamiliar terms of the authorized version words with meaning? I do love the Kjv, yet sometimes I’m as lost as a man driving through a blizzard with my car windows painted black. Or better, is the a true word for word conservative bible commentary or dictionary?
    Thank you,
    Prentiss Yeates

Hi Prentiss. There are a few books like you’re describing. I’ll create a list and either post them here or create a new article for them. Thanks for the question!

Did you ever find a word for word conservatize bile commentary or dictionary?

I am so glad I found your page. I am looking for an NKJV Study Bible because I love my Thomas Nelson KJV Study Bible. My brain has started to trip over the old English pronouns which is why I want an NKJV. I can see from the video that (just before the Foreword page) this KJV has the same useful helps my KJV has: the Harmony, Parables, etc. Also, as you mention, the T.N. always seems easier on the eye. My question is, is there an NKJV like this?
