Unapologetic Study Bible Review

Thomas Nelson’s NKJV Unapologetic Study Bible looks at difficult issues in today’s society and unapologetically answers those issues with Scripture. In other words, it takes a biblical stance on issues that many are afraid to take. It gives answers that many wouldn’t consider politically correct. It doesn’t beat around the bush, but at the same time it doesn’t teach in a harsh manner. It simply gives biblical answers to tough questions. I’m reviewing the hard cover edition – ISBN: 9780310080367 (made in China). Thomas Nelson provided this Bible free for review. I was not required to give a positive review,...

The Prayer Book and Bible Heritage Edition is an edition from Cambridge to commemorate the 350th anniversary of the Book of Common Prayer and the 400th anniversary of the King James Version of the Bible. Just like all the calf-split editions from Cambridge, the cover feels tough but looks good at the...

12 Bibles for Christmas 2017

It’s time for our 12 Bibles for Christmas 2017. This was a good year for Bible publishing. We saw a lot of reader’s editions, new designs that focus on readability of the typeface, higher quality paper, and an overall focus on the text. Even Study Bibles are starting to become more focused on a specific purpose rather than trying to include everything. Continuing our tradition, the Bibles in this list are those that I have reviewed this year. I’ve reviewed a few older editions that I wanted to include, which means there are too many to limit the list...

Accu-Gel Highlighters and Pigma MicronPN – Review

GT Luscombe provides some of the best Bible highlighters available. I typically avoid highlighters because of bleed-through. All products from GT Luscombe are made for marking in Bibles and will not bleed through the paper. There will almost always be some show-through. That’s to be expected when you have paper in the 20-40 gsm (grams per square meter) range. But, you won’t see ink soaking through (or bleeding through) the paper. In this review I’mm taking a look at two products that I think are great for Bible marking – Accu-Gel Highlighters and a new black Pigma Micron marker called...
