Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin
against thee. Psalm 119:11
There are several ways to put God’s word in our hearts and
the 17:18 Series of Bible Journals aim to do just that.
The 17:11 series are published by Reformation Heritage Books.
Each journal contains a portion of the Bible that allows
you to read and write the text guided by the verse numbers.
The left page provides room for notes while the right page
is for the Bible text. The paper is thick and can handle
fountain pens, gel pens and heavy highlighers with no bleed through.
The binding is stitched and does lay flat making it easy to
write in. There is one black ribbon marker.
Each journal is about the size of a Moleskin notebook and very portable.
I’ve been using the Galations–2Thessalonians journal with my
teenage sons for weekly bible study. By writing out scripture
it has forced us to engage with the text in more depth than
just a surface reading did. As a result our
discussions have been more fruitful and we go deeper into
the meaning and application. Of course these benefits still hold
for individual study. I prefer to write with a fountain pen in
my journal, something that would not be recommended in your
typical wide-margin bible.
Overall a very nice journal for writing out scripture and making
notes on the text. You can find these at Amazon with a keyword
search of “journables”. Many of the journals are around $12 with
some of the bigger books of the bible going for more.
you say The 17:11 series are published by Reformation Heritage Books… It must say The 17:18 series are… 😉
