I spent a day in Cedar Springs Christian Bookstore in Knoxville, TN secretly filming reviews and taking pictures of Bibles. This isn’t as detailed as my standard reviews, and some of the photos and videos are blurry, but maybe there’s enough information here to help you decide if this Bible is for you.
The Holman Illustrator’s Notetaking Bible is an HCSB edition made for those that want to draw, paint, and color in their Journaling Bibles. This one has over 600 lightly drawn illustrations that you can color or paint. There’s lots of room to add your own artwork as well.
The paper feels like the standard 38gsm that’s found in most journaling editions. It’s bonded leather over board and is available in several colors. It’s a single column layout with 7.5-8 point font. It also includes HCSB bullet notes, a reading plan, concordance, and maps.
So you “secretly” did this? As if you knew what you were going was wrong, or what? I’m more than a bit surprised that, as a Christian, you would do this. WOuldn’t it have been far better to simply ask the store manager if you could do this and promise to name the store in your review. Wouldn’t that be the respectful thing to do?
Hi Laura. The “secret” was just me having fun. This was done with the store’s permission, and I did give the store publicity for it. I also helped several customers and sold a few Bibles.
