The Writer’s Bible Paul’s Letters NASB Review

The Writer’s Bible is a book, or compilation of books, of the Bible that’s made with the intent of journaling. This is a great concept because it promotes Bible study and working with the text. It’s available in KJV, ASV, and NASB. I’m reviewing Paul’s Letters in NASB, which includes Romans and 1st and 2nd Corinthians.

Here are the major features:

  • Thick paper for writing
  • 12 point Garamond font
  • Spiral bound
  • Paragraph format
  • End of chapter notes
  • Section headings
  • Book introductions
  • OT quotes in all-caps
  • 6 x 9
  • Price $15

Binding

The Writer’s Bible is spiral bound so it lays flat. I like the spiral binding because it lays flatter than any Bible or journal that I own. It’s also easy to hold and handle.

Layout

The page of the left is the Bible and the page on the right is ruled for writing. The page layout is in paragraph format and is very easy to read. It has headings in the text and translation notes and the end of the chapter.

Font

The font is large print. The font is 12 point Garamond. It’s easy to read and it consistently dark. Old Testament quotes are in all-caps. I like OT quotes to look different from the rest of the text so I can quickly identify it.

Paper

This is the best paper in any Bible I’ve seen. It is think and extremely opaque. It’s made for writing – my kind of Bible. Every page on the right has ruled lines for writing. Also, there are six pages in the back for writing.

Conclusion

The Writer’s Bible is perfect for journaling, personal study, teaching, small groups, and more. I like Bibles that are made for writing because they promote Bible study, and the Writer’s Bible does this well. I highly recommend The Writer’s Bible.
