Tear Up Your Bible 2023

Tear Up Your Bible is a free specialized Bible reading plan from Jason Mayfield that’s designed to help any Bible reader read through the entire Bible in a year. It takes you through the New Testament twice and the Old Testament once in 355 days and 10 days of shorter “power-packed” readings. This is a unique reading plan that Jason creates yearly. For Tear Up Your Bible 2023, Jason has refined the reading plan so it’s easy to estimate the reading time for each day. This makes Tear Up Your Bible 2023 the best version so far.

About Tear up Your Bible

Tear Up Your Bible 2023 places reading as the priority and takes you through the Bible more than once while reading around 15 minutes per day. The plan indicates if a day is a long or short reading (the time is based on readings from the ESV audio Bible). This helps build a daily reading habit that stays with you.

Jason has set the order of books in his preferred order for reading. It doesn’t have a straight-through reading. This helps keep the Bible interesting and makes it easier for those that have trouble through the really tough portions of Scripture (cough Numbers). This starts the Old Testament with a summary, alternates between the Old and New Testaments, and takes you through the entire New Testament in the first 70 days. It takes you through the New Testament twice in two different orders. The Old Testament reading is set in an order that makes sense chronologically, but it doesn’t follow a chronological order.

The plan comes to you in a PDF file and includes both a regular size and large print version of the reading plan. The plan includes a numbered day, a checkbox, and the reading for that day. The days are numbered but not named, so you can start any time you want. It has a few annotations to provide important information and includes a key at the bottom of the first page to explain the abbreviations.
