2019 BibleTech Conference

Faithlife will be hosting the 2019 BibleTech Conference on April 11th and 12th in Seattle Washington. This conference focuses on the intersection between faith and technology.

25 experts in the fields of Bible translations, tech, and the publishing industry will be giving presentations. Speakers include Joseph Carter from Olive Tree Bible Software, Stephan Smith from Haper Collins Christian Publishing and Michael Hite from Bear Valley Bible Institute. A couple of the topics that will be covered that interest me are “The CLEAR Approach to Bible Translation” by the people from the Global Bible Initiative and “Better Together: Integrating Print + Digital for the Bible” from Tyndale Publishing. Some of the presentations will be lectures and others will be in-depth discussions.  For a full list of speakers and topics check out the Bibletech Conference page.

Faithlife/Logos software will, of course, be among the major presenters. Sean Boison will be speaking on Mapping the World of Theology, Peter Venable will be discussing the use of conversational interfaces for Bible study, and our friend Mark Ward will be speaking on several topics.

If you’d like to know more about the current version of Logos software you can check out our review here. If you’d like to purchase Logos 8 using our affiliate link and get 5 free books. You can get Logos 8 Basic for free to get started.

You can register for the 2019 Bibletech Conference at Faithlife. It will cost $199 if paid all at once or you can spread it out by making 8 payments of just under $30 each.

The conference will take place at the Cedarbrook Lodge, located right near the Seattle-Tacoma International Aiport.
