    Dear Randy:

This looks like a nice bible, I’ll look forward to your review. Some of the things I would like to know, follow:

How does it compare to the old version of the Pitt Minion published by Cambridge in quality, materials, and size?

Is the paper used and the type appropriate, and how does it compare with the Pitt Minion?

Hi Don. I can answer those questions now.

How does it compare to the old version of the Pitt Minion published by Cambridge in quality, materials, and size?
      – I don’t have the old version, but I can compare to the new version. Here are the size comparisons:
      Pitt Minion – 7.25 x 5 x 7/8
      Holman – 9.5 x 6.5 x 1

Is the paper used and the type appropriate, and how does it compare with the Pitt Minion?
      – the paper is similar. The main difference is the Pitt has a cream tone (which I prefer) and the Holman has a white tone. They both have a modern font, but the Pitt looks more like what I expect in a Bible. The Holman looks similar to the Hendrickson.
Pitt Minion font = 6.75 point
      Holman font = 9 point

I have the NKJV Holman cowhide(my first cowhide) and I love it. Isbn is 9781433613197. The leather is getting softer as I use it. I actually prefer it over my Cambridge Clarion because the goatskin is too floppy in my hands. Prob sounds crazy but my honest preference. I also wasn’t a fan of the single column layout of the Clarion which is my own fault for buying it before I tried it.

Hi SK. We have the same tastes in Bible leather. Goatskin is nice. I like the soft feel, but I don’t my Bible to be floppy. I prefer a stiffer cover that lays flat in one hand. I like the calfskin of my Clarion and the calf-split of my Concord because they’re easier to handle than goatskin.
