The Schuyler Canterbury is Available for Pre-order

Schuyler’s Canterbury KJV is available for pre-order with special pre-order pricing. It’s available in goatskin and calfskin and in several colors. It’s expected to ship in late December. The Canterbury uses the same 11-point Milo font and 36gsm paper as the NKJV Quentel that I reviewed previously. It will have a verse-by-verse format with Psalms in single column. The Bible Beautiful on Kickstarter

There’s an interesting new Bible project on Kickstarter called The Bible Beautiful. Noticing how visually oriented our culture has become the founders of Alabaster, Bryan Chung and Brian Chung (yes, they have the same name) are designing a Bible for today. Wanting people to see God as the ultimate creator and artist they are creating a Bible that integrates imagery, typography and layout design within the biblical text. They are using photographic images, the majority of which were created specifically for this project after in-depth study of the scriptures. Canterbury Update

The Schuyler Canterbury KJV is now at the printers and pre-orders will start soon after Labor Day (September 5th). The leather over board edition will be black with gold foil embossing, art-gilt edges, and will release a few months after the goatskin and calfskin editions. The Canterbury will have a darker art-gilting than the Quentel series. It will use the same 11-point Milo font and 36gsm paper. Waterproof Journaling Bible on Kickstarter

UPDATE – campaign hasn’t reached its goal and has now been canceled. If there is any interest they might try again in the future. Bardin & Marsee (makers of the Waterproof Bible) have just started a Kickstarter campaign for their newest Bible project. If they reach $55,00 by August 22nd they will be producing a King James Large Print Waterproof Bible.
