Thomas Nelson’s NKJV Unapologetic Study Bible looks at difficult issues in today’s society and unapologetically answers those issues with Scripture. In other words, it takes a biblical stance on issues that many are afraid to take. It gives answers that many wouldn’t consider politically correct. It doesn’t beat around the bush, but at the same time it doesn’t teach in a harsh manner. It simply gives biblical answers to tough questions. I’m reviewing the hard cover edition – ISBN: 9780310080367 (made in China). Thomas Nelson provided this Bible free for review. I was not required to give a positive review,...Read More

The Cambridge NKJV Pitt Minion Reference Bible is a nice little reference Bible in the popular Pitt Minion setting from Cambridge. It’s easy to see why this setting is so popular: it’s a full reference edition with concordance and maps, all within a thin Smyth sewn book-block that’s easy to carry, and wrapped in a high-quality leather cover. It is available in calf split and goatskin. Both are excellent editions. In this review I’m taking a look at the black calf split leather. This Bible was purchased for review. I was not in any way influenced by the publisher to give...Read More
The Word For Today Bible is an NKJV study Bible from Pastor Chuck Smith. This is a revised edition with updated with more notes than the previous edition. It provides cross-references, commentary on the text, a nice concordance, reading plan, and maps. This Bible is available in a range of covers including paperback, hard cover, imitation, bonded leather, genuine leather, and cowhide, and in a range of colors including black, brown, burgundy, tan, and more. Some editions are available with thumb-index. The edition I’m reviewing is black cowhide without thumb-indexing. Coming soon from Humble Lamb is a premium edition of the NKJV. It was designed by Humble Lamb, typeset by Scribe Inc, and produced by Royal Jongbloed. It’s a reference edition in single column paragraph with references in the outer margin next to the verse they correspond to and footnotes in the footer. This is a red-letter edition with references and chapter numbers also in red. It was designed using the Golden Ratio and looks fantastic with 45-75 characters per line. “The Word of God” includes the artwork of Gustave Dore on appropriate pages.
