Thomas Nelson’s King James Study Bible has been a popular study Bible for many years, and during that time it’s has gone through several revisions. The latest edition is the prettiest yet – it’s now been updated and produced in full-color. In this review I take a look at this newest edition in black genuine leather, ISBN: 9780718079895 Thomas Nelson provided this Bible free for review. I was not required to give a positive review – only an honest review. My opinions are my own. _________________________ Buy from (includes some affiliate links) Amazon Barnes & Noble and many local Bible bookstores _________________________ BINDING This...Read More

Coming soon from R.L. Allan is a new slimline Longprimer called the 43. The Longprimer (see our review of the 53 in brown here) is a staple in the premium KJV market. It was recently updated with a cleaner scan and is now available in several covers and a larger edition with wide outer margins called the 63 Longprimer Sovereign (see a guest review here). With the recent paper improvements the Longprimer has been getting larger. There are still a market for those who prefer thinner Bibles. I still like the 32gsm edition that I reviewed years ago because...Read More
Even though there are have been variations in features, many publishers have had a KJV Ruby. And for good reason – it’s a small handy size with a sharp readable font. The TBS Royal Ruby Text Bible is a text-only compact KJV that’s available in a wide range of bindings. I’m reviewing the black calfskin with zipper and thumb-index. It’s produced for TBS by Cambridge and includes the familiar TBS additions. Like other TBS editions that I’ve reviewed, it comes in a nice slip case. _____________________________________ Buy from TBS _____________________________________ Features Text-only KJV Calfskin with zipper Opposing thumb...Read More
Hendrickson’s KJV Thinline Reference Bible is a low-end thinline with some no-nonsense features that many will appreciate. I like thinlines because they’re easy to carry, but unfortunately most low-end editions skimp on paper and print quality. They’re also usually glued. That’s not the case with this Hendrickson. To get this price it does make a few sacrifices. Are they worth it? Absolutely. In this review I’m taking a look at the imitation edition (ISBN: 9781619709591 provided for free by Hendrickson). _________________________________ Buy from (includes some affiliate links) Amazon Barnes & Noble and many local Bible bookstores _________________________________ BINDING The cover is...Read More
