Even though there are have been variations in features, many publishers have had a KJV Ruby. And for good reason – it’s a small handy size with a sharp readable font. The TBS Royal Ruby Text Bible is a text-only compact KJV that’s available in a wide range of bindings. I’m reviewing the black calfskin with zipper and thumb-index. It’s produced for TBS by Cambridge and includes the familiar TBS additions. Like other TBS editions that I’ve reviewed, it comes in a nice slip case. _____________________________________ Buy from TBS _____________________________________ Features Text-only KJV Calfskin with zipper Opposing thumb...Read More

Hendrickson’s KJV Thinline Reference Bible is a low-end thinline with some no-nonsense features that many will appreciate. I like thinlines because they’re easy to carry, but unfortunately most low-end editions skimp on paper and print quality. They’re also usually glued. That’s not the case with this Hendrickson. To get this price it does make a few sacrifices. Are they worth it? Absolutely. In this review I’m taking a look at the imitation edition (ISBN: 9781619709591 provided for free by Hendrickson). _________________________________ Buy from (includes some affiliate links) Amazon Barnes & Noble and many local Bible bookstores _________________________________ BINDING The cover is...Read More
The Cambridge Pitt Minion has been a popular Bible for many years, and with good reason – the size and quality create a Bible that’s easy to carry without sacrificing features. It’s available in several translations including the NASB. In this review I’m taking a look at the NASB Pitt Minion in black goatskin. This is model NS446:XR, ISBN: 9780521604123, which was printed and bound in the Netherlands by Royal Jongbloed and provided free for review by Cambridge University Press. _______________________________________________ Buy from (includes affiliate links) Amazon Barnes & Noble Books-A-Million Evangelical Bible and a few local Bible bookstores _______________________________________________ PROS Easy to...Read More
Henrickson’s latest KJV Super Giant Print Reference Bible was designed for the pulpit and for those that prefer giant print for daily reading. It has a few features, such as indented poetry, that makes it stand apart from the crowd of KJV layout design. I’m reviewing the imitation leather edition. ISBN: 9781619709690 Hendrickson provided this Bible free for review. I was not required to give a positive review – only an honest review. My opinions are my own. ____________________ Buy from (includes some affiliate links) Amazon Books-A- Million Barnes & Noble and many local Bible bookstores ____________________ BINDING The cover is...Read More
We were recently sent a copy of Crossway’s ESV Devotional Psalter. This is an edition of the Psalms that includes devotionals and comes in a handy slipcover. ISBN 9781433557217 Crossway proved this Bible free for review. I was not required to give a positive review – only an honest one. _________________________ Buy from (includes some affiliate links) Amazon Barnes & Noble Crossway and many local Bible bookstores _________________________ BINDING This edition is bound in two shades of brown imitation leather.
